How the top-ranked teams in IHSAA football fared in Week 4 | Operation Football

Here is a class-by-class breakdown of how all the top-ranked teams in the IFCA Coaches Poll fared during the week of Sept. 13, 2024.

INDIANAPOLIS — Week 4 of Operation Football saw some wild endings to some of the top games in all of IHSAA football. A few of the top-ranked teams were handed some crushing losses Friday night. 

Here is a class-by-class breakdown of how all the top-ranked teams in the IFCA Coaches Poll fared during the week of Sept. 13, 2024:

CLASS 6A

  • No. 1 Brownsburg defeated Avon 45-15.
  • No. 2 Westfield defeated Noblesville 38-18.
  • No. 3 Warren Central defeated Lawrence Central 35-0.
  • No. 4 Crown Point defeated Lake Central 42-14.
  • No. 5 Hamilton Southeastern lost to Fishers 37-35.
  • No. 6 Center Grove defeated No. 10 Ben Davis 42-19.
  • No. 7 Carmel lost to Louisville Trinity (KY) 35-23.
  • No. 8 Cathedral defeated Bishop Chatard 31-7.
  • No. 9 Lawrence North defeated North Central 62-10.

CLASS 5A

  • No. 1 Valparaiso defeated Michigan City 20-14.
  • No. 2 Decatur Central lost to 4A No. 6 Martinsville 39-38.
  • No. 3 Merrillville defeated Portage 27-13.
  • No. 4 Concord defeated Northridge 34-17.
  • No. 5 Lafayette Jefferson defeated Muncie Central 43-14.
  • No. 6 Warsaw defeated Wawasee 56-6.
  • No. 7 East Central defeated Franklin County 49-13.
  • No. 8 Whiteland defeated Franklin 27-14.
  • No. 9 Plainfield defeated Perry Meridian 35-12.
  • No. 10 Bloomington South lost to Bloomington North 31-14.
  • No. 10 Castle defeated Evansville Harrison 42-7.
