INDIANAPOLIS — IndyGo announced Wednesday "one of its most significant sets of service changes to date" is coming in October, including the opening of the Purple Line.
In addition to the Purple Line, the changes include minor route adjustments on the south side of Marion County and significant changes to the north side.
"These changes are another major step toward implementing IndyGo’s 2027 Transit Network, which was designed through public feedback, to increase the quality and frequency of bus service," the agency said in a statement.
The following routes will be impacted: 4, 10, 18, 19, 28, 29 (formerly 902), 30, 31, 39, 82, 86 and 92 (Purple Line).

The Purple Line will span more than 15 miles, connecting Indianapolis to Lawrence. IndyGo says it "will also bring major infrastructure improvements, including nearly 10 miles of sidewalks, more than 350 ADA curb ramps, new street paving, a multi-use path, storm sewer separation and much more, to advance the community."
