SHELBY COUNTY, Indiana — Two drivers are in the hospital after a crash in Shelby County Tuesday morning.

The Shelby County Sheriff Department said the crash happened around 8:15 a.m. Sept. 3 near the intersection of County Road South 600 East and State Road 244, just west of the Liberty Township Schoolhouse No. 2, about 12 minutes southeast of Shelbyville.

Major Chris Holder, with the sheriff's department, said the dump truck was driving east on State Road 244 when the truck dropped off the edge of the road.

Holder said the truck over-corrected when it came back onto the road and hit a car heading west head-on.
