1 critical after arriving at Eskenazi Hospital following west Indy shooting

In an update Wednesday afternoon, IMPD said they believe the shooting took place in the 3800 block of West Michigan Street, near Holt Road.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a person arrived at Eskenazi Hospital in downtown Indianapolis with critical gunshot injuries Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release from IMPD, shortly before 3 p.m. Sept. 11, officers responded to Eskenazi Hospital on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found one person who had been shot. The victim was reported to be in critical condition. 

In an update Wednesday afternoon, IMPD said they believe the shooting took place in the 3800 block of West Michigan Street, near Holt Road. Thursday, police said that incident happened inside a business, and that detectives do not currently believe the incident is connected to another shooting that occurred nearby the next morning.
