INDIANAPOLIS — After a hot and dry stretch, central Indiana will get a nice soaker today. Since Sept. 1, Indianapolis has only recorded 1.6" of rain. That puts Indy in a departure of almost 2" since Sept. 1.
Scattered showers will continue this morning.
Widespread rain moves in this afternoon.
A few rumbles of thunder are possible, with rain tapering off by late day.
Around a half inch to over an inch of rain will be possible by this evening.
Temperatures will slowly fall into the mid-60s by late afternoon.
