Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog: Update on Flood Warning for White River, reservoirs

Before last weekend's rain event, water levels in both Morse and Geist reservoirs were getting critically low.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Flood Warning along the White River has been extended through this evening as parts of the river continue to be at or above flood stage.

As of 5:45 a.m., the White River in Noblesville was at 14.28 feet. Even though the river has crested and is trending downward, minor flooding is still possible with readings over 14 feet.

The White River at Nora reported 10.67 feet as of 6 a.m., which is just below the flooding stage at 11 feet. The levels will continue to fall.

Before this past weekend's rain event, water levels in both Morse and Geist reservoirs were getting critically low. Today's readings show a slight improvement, but levels remain very low. As of 6 a.m., Morse Reservoir was reporting a depth of 809.92 feet. Anything at 809.4 feet and below is considered "low stage."

Geist Reservoir measured 784.48 feet this morning, with anything at 784.3 feet and below considered "low stage."
