INDIANAPOLIS — Despite a north-northeasterly wind...the Muggy Meter in Central Indiana remains relatively humid with dewpoints in the low/mid 60s. That is going to change dramatically over the next 24 hours.
The transition to a much a drier airmass occurs as the second, and stronger, cold front of the week crosses through the state Friday morning.
At the same time the front swallows-up the remnants of Debby, its remnant circulation strengthens the northwesterly wind behind the front...resulting in a significant drop in the Muggy Meter heading into the weekend.
A noticeably cooler breeze emerges Friday and keeps highs in the 70s. A clearing sky, calm wind, and the aforementioned dry air leads to a seasonably chilly Saturday morning of lows in the 40s and lower 50s.
There will be a hint of autumn in the air this weekend with crisp mornings, sunshine, and comfortable highs in the 70s.
Dry weather holds well into next week but comes with a gradual warming trend into the 80s.
