INDIANAPOLIS — Here is your Fever Minute ahead of tonight's Indiana Fever game against the back-to-back defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces:
Maintain the grit - The Fever have showcased their ability to win in a multitude of ways this season. The team's ability to manage opponents' runs throughout games, primarily during the second half of the season, adequately shows the growth and maturity that has developed. Maintain that physical, gritty-type attitude, and you'll certainly find success as the regular season comes to a close.
Aliyah Boston - Over the past three games, Boston has averaged over 24 points and 10 rebounds per game. She is fresh off a 30-point performance in an overtime win against the Atlanta Dream. When she is doing her thing in the post, combined with the elite guard play of this team, the Fever are virtually impossible to beat. If she keeps this up, it's hard to think the Fever won't be successful.
Finish strong - The Fever have improved dramatically in closing out games. The nature of a six-game homestand certainly assists in this regard, but this young team has to continue to keep its foot on the gas. If you finish games strong, you'll finish the season strong.
That is your Fever Minute presented by CareSource ahead of tonight's Fever game against the Aces. That game tips off at 7 p.m. You can watch live on MeTV/WALV.
