INDIANAPOLIS — In just a couple of months, NBA All-Star 2024 will take place in downtown Indianapolis.
The events will place the national spotlight on the Circle City.
While the impact of all those fans coming to Indianapolis will help the economy, the event could also have a much bigger impact for Indiana food pantries.
That's because the first-ever 24-hour NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service hopes to help fight hunger across Indiana.
Volunteers pack 1 million meals for NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service
It will need approximately 6,000 volunteers to help pack 1 million meals to be distributed to food pantries all around Indiana.
The event will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium from Thursday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.
