INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever have the first overall pick in the WNBA draft for the second year in a row.
Sunday, Dec. 10 was the annual WNBA Draft Lottery that determined draft order for the upcoming 2024 WNBA Draft.
Representing Indiana, the Fever's All-Star Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston stood at the podium and accepted the Fever's draft order. She was last year's No. 1 overall pick for the Fever.
The Los Angeles Sparks will pick second in the draft, followed by the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm.
The Fever have an opportunity to build their roster back up after the last several seasons of sub-par performances. Iowa guard Caitlin Clark is expected to go first overall in the draft and would bring more significant star-power to Indiana's roster.
However, Clark has been mum on whether or not she will return for another season at Iowa. She has one year of eligibility left and could elect to forgo the WNBA draft.
Should Clark elect to return to Iowa for a final year, the Fever still have a great opportunity to build around Aliyah Boston for the future.
The 2024 WNBA Draft is scheduled for April 15.
To celebrate the Fever's draft order, the team is offering special deals on tickets for the upcoming season. Options include a package of five games featuring a free ticket to opening night, an offer for opening day tickets for just $1, and deals on season tickets. Click here for more information.
