Here's your guide to NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis

There are three main locations for events around the 73rd NBA All-Star Game: Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center.

INDIANAPOLIS — The 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis is set for events Feb. 15-18, and there is plenty for fans to do.

There are three main locations for events around the 73rd NBA All-Star Game: Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center.

Here's what you need to know to make the most of the weekend:

Venues

There will be three main venues for NBA All-Star Game Weekend events. They include Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be where the weekend events tip off at Bicentennial Unity Plaza and then include Rising Stars, Practice & Media Day, HBCU Classic and the All-Star Game itself.

Lucas Oil Stadium

Lucas Oil Stadium will be retrofitted with a basketball court and concert stage. It will be the home of the Ruffles Celebrity Game, State Farm All-Star Saturday and NBA Crossover Concert Series.

Indiana Convention Center

The Convention Center will be home to the NBA Crossover fan experience and NBA Crossover Concert Series.

NBA Crossover is an interactive fan event featuring player appearances, live performances and activities around art, music, fashion, technology and entertainment.

Parking downtown

If you are heading downtown for All-Star Weekend — and you are driving yourself — it will be important to know where you can park.

Beyond metered spaces, here is a map of parking locations:

Road closures

The NBA has released a map of the road closures throughout the weekend.

Delaware Street and half of Monument Circle will be closed on the south side of Gainbridge Fieldhouse through the entirety of NBA All-Star Weekend Feb. 16-18. Streets near Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center will close temporarily, depending on the times of certain events.

The NBA has also created two detour routes. The Gold and Blue routes provide directions to side streets around the city that allow drivers to bypass the traffic near the main events.  

You can also visit the Know Before You Go website to learn more about IndyGo free rides or where to meet an Uber or Lyft. There is also the Pacers Bike Share system people can take advantage of for getting around — in addition to electric scooters.

The Downtown Court setup allows a quick and easy way for fans to get the most out of the weekend.

It is also a way for you to check out great local businesses

The NBA and NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee have officially launched the NBA All-Star 2024 Rewards Program, a chance for fans to win tickets, merchandise and other prizes for supporting local businesses. 

Fans can download the “NBA Events” app and check-in at participating businesses and iconic basketball landmarks across the state. 

The program is only for Indiana companies and organizations. 

Merchandise

Those looking for official NBA All-Star Game merchandise can find it at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium.

It will also be available at the following hotels:

  • JW Marriott
  • Hyatt Regency
  • Embassy Suites
  • Omni Severin
  • Westin

Prohibited items

The NBA also released a list of prohibited items for the All-Star Game Weekend events. (Strollers will be allowed at Crossover at the Indiana Convention Center):

  • Weapons and dangerous items
    Weapons of any sort including, but not limited to, firearms and knives of any size are prohibited. Any items deemed by the venue, in its discretion, to be dangerous are also prohibited.
  • Large bags
    Bags and backpacks larger than 14 x 14 x 6 inches in size are prohibited. All hard-sided bags are prohibited.
  • Large flags, banners and signs
    Attendees are not permitted to use or wave any flags, banners, signs, or other items that are more than 11 x 17 inches in size.
  • Items affixed to poles
    No flags, banners, or signs of any size may be affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic, or any other hard material.
  • Offensive signs and clothing
    Clothing, garments, and signs (including, but not limited to, flyers, handouts, and pamphlets) that contain or display explicit language, profanity, or derogatory characterization toward any person or category/group of persons are prohibited. Obscene or indecent messaging on clothing, garments, or signs is also prohibited. All messaging on otherwise permissible signs must be related to the event.
  • Drones
    Drones of any kind, regardless of size, are prohibited in the venue and the immediately surrounding area.

    • Bats, clubs and poles
    • Mace/pepper spray
    • Illegal substances
    • Missile-like objects (that can be thrown)
    • Fireworks
    • Laser pointers
    • Whistles and horns
    • Tripods, monopods and selfie sticks
    • Beach balls and frisbees
    • Strollers*
    • Beverages
    • Recording devices (audio/visual)
    • Professional cameras & Go-Pro devices
    • Aerosol cans
