INDIANAPOLIS — The Big Ten Conference made a big announcement Wednesday that it's bringing more college basketball championships to the heart of the Hoosier State!

The 2025 TIAA Big Ten Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournaments, the 2026 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament and the 2027 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will all be held in downtown Indianapolis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

“We are thrilled with the conference’s decision to have the Big Ten Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournaments return to Indianapolis,” said Patrick Talty, president of Indiana Sports Corp. “Together, with our partners throughout the community, we will continue the storied tradition of Big Ten basketball while working to further enhance the tournament experience for the member institutions, student-athletes, coaches, and fans.”

The 2025 TIAA Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament will take place March 5-9, followed by the 2025 TIAA Men’s Basketball Tournament from March 12-16. They will be the first to feature a 15-team field from the 18-team conference, with the new additions of Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington.

Tickets for the two upcoming tournaments are not available for purchase yet, but will be announced on a later date.

And previously announced, Indianapolis will host all of the NCAA men's basketball finals in the same weekend.

The NCAA's Division I Men's Basketball Committee is putting all of the men's basketball finals games in Indianapolis in 2026.

The city had already been awarded the Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium.

On July 11, the NCAA announced the Division II and Division III championship games will be played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Meanwhile, Hinkle Fieldhouse will host the NIT semifinals with the title game's venue still to be announced.

The last time the NCAA had one city host all three championships was in 2013 in Atlanta. The NCAA women's basketball championships were all hosted in the same weekend in Indianapolis in 2016, and again in Dallas in 2023.

This is what the schedule will look like:

  • Thursday, April 2 - NIT semifinals at Hinkle Fieldhouse
  • Saturday, April 4 - Men's Final Four at Lucas Oil Stadium
  • Sunday, April 5 - NIT Championship at a venue TBD, Division II & Division III Championships at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
  • Monday, April 6 - Men's Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium
