LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Lafayette police have arrested a 34-year-old man after a deadly stabbing early Thursday.
Police responded to a report of a person stabbed just south of Franciscan Health Lafayette East, around 12:45 a.m. on July 11. Officers found a man who had been stabbed. The victim died at the scene.
Police quickly found a 34-year-old man who police say knew the victim. Police said he ran from the scene before they arrived.
He was found later Thursday morning and arrested on preliminary charges of murder, aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon, theft, and obstruction of justice.
