LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Six people, ranging in age from 27 years old to just 16, have been arrested for a shooting in Lafayette last year.
The shooting happened on Beck Lane, on the south side of Lafayette, on Nov. 14, 2023.
A house and truck were each hit by multiple bullets. Thankfully, no one was reported hurt in the shooting.
In total, the suspects face a total of more than 50 felony charges:
- 27-year-old Keaton Compton has 20 felony charges, including multiple counts of attempted murder, attempted aggravated battery and intimidation.
- 22-year-old Wyatt Williams has 15 felony charges, including multiple counts of attempted aggravated battery and intimidation.
- 21-year-old Manuel Vega has 14 felony charges including multiple counts of attempted aggravated battery and intimidation.
- 19-year-old Lazaro Vega is charged with obstruction of justice and assisting a criminal.
- 19-year-old Madison Heathcote is charged with assisting a criminal.
- A 16-year-old is also facing charges of attempted aggravated battery, intimidation, and criminal recklessness.
Lafayette Police worked with Frankfort Police to arrest all of the suspects on warrants Tuesday, July 23.
