Lawrence police officer indicted in February shooting

A grand jury indicted a Lawrence police officer for his role in an officer-involved shooting in February.

LAWRENCE, Ind. — A Marion County grand jury indicted a Lawrence police officer for his role in an officer-involved shooting in February.

Lawrence Police Officer Jonathan Clark faces charges of aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

The case will now go to Marion County Criminal Court.

The Lawrence police department says Officer Clark has been assigned to non-uniform administrative duty pending the adjudication process.

Officer Clark is an 18 year veteran of the Lawrence Police Department.
