HSE school principal named next leader of North Central High School

INDIANAPOLIS — Washington Township Schools on Wednesday announced the next principal of North Central High School.

The appointment of Jagga Rent, who has been serving as the principal of Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate Junior High School, was recently approved by the Washington Township School Board. 

Rent previously served as an assistant principal and dean at Hamilton Southeastern High School. He received a bachelor's degree in secondary education and master's degree in educational administration from Ball State University.

“Mr. Rent brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach that aligns with our district's strategic goals and the unique needs of our diverse educational community," Dr. Nataki Pettigrew, chief academic and DEI officer, said in a statement. "Mr. Rent will join a school community known for its deeply rooted Panther traditions and rich heritage."

Rent's transition into the new role will take place in the coming weeks, the district said.

“I am eager to contribute to the school's rich tradition and history of excellence," Rent said. "I look forward to collaborating with the Washington Township community to continue their legacy of success.”
