INDIANAPOLIS — A woman is accused of using her car to hit an IMPD officer and leading police on a very short chase on the near northwest side of Indianapolis Monday night.

According to court documents, police were called to the area near Ensign Graham Edward Martin Park, which is near West 16th and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. streets, just before 11 p.m. on Aug. 5.

Police received a report that someone was exposing themself in a car near the park.

When officers arrived, a woman allegedly got out of her car and became belligerent with them, saying she “hasn’t done anything.”

Court documents say the officer noticed a young girl who was asleep in the front passenger seat.

Police then told the woman she was not allowed to be in the park after sunset and she needed to leave.

According to court documents, the woman got back in her car and agreed to leave but was still yelling profanities at the officer.

Police said she was no longer free to leave, and she was getting a ticket.

The woman then allegedly put her car in drive and began to slowly pull out of the parking lot.
