INDIANAPOLIS — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Indianapolis man accused of being involved in a shooting that injured two people.
IMPD officers were dispatched to the 10000 block of East 42nd Street, near North Mitthoefer Road, to investigate a report of a person shot around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.
When officers arrived on scene, they said the found a victim east on 42nd Street and another victim at an IFD fire station on the 4100 block of North Mitthoefer Road.
Police said both victims were taken to Eskenazi Hospital and were last reported to be "stable."
According to court documents, one of the detectives on scene was told that Gerald Davie-Franks was possibly a suspect.
Documents say detectives spoke to a witness who told them that he heard shots as he was driving on North Mitthoeffer Road. He told police he saw three late teens/early 20s males run across the street.
Documents say the witness saw a red Challenger in the parking lot that he thought might've been shot, and saw one of the victims in front of the door to the business. According to court documents, the witness drove through the neighborhood looking for suspects but didn't see anyone.
The witness told police he saw one of the men at the fire station door talking through the door to someone. He told police one of them walked away from the station and threw a gun over his shoulder. The men then fled the scene.
Documents say the witness showed detectives where the gun was and a detective examined the gun and determined that it was an airsoft gun and not a firearm. Police said the gun had a Glock magazine, but not any ammunition.

According to court documents, detectives reviewed the gas station video which showed Davie-Franks and two other people loitering in the gas station. Police said the first victim was seen entering the store and standing at the register. Davie-Franks then allegedly removed what appeared to be a gun from the victim and then ran out the front door.
Documents say the victim followed Davie-Franks and the two fought in the parking lot. Initially, police said Davie-Franks appeared to hold the gun by the extended magazine; however, when the fight started he had a firing grip.
Documents say the video showed two people follow, both making motions consistent with an appendix draw stroke, and one of them fired several shots before running and the other person and Davie-Franks followed.
A warrant was issued for Davie-Franks arrest on the charge of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
