WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — Two men from Bartholomew County pleaded guilty Thursday, Oct. 3 to assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, the FBI said.
Donald Lee Moss, 62, of Elizabethtown, and James Link Behymer, 61, of Hope, each pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers. They will be sentenced Feb. 13, 2025.
The two men were accused of shoving officers as the officer tried to keep a group of "violent rioters" from an entrance of the United States Capitol Building.
Moss could allegedly be heard on an officer's bodycam shouting, "This is our f—ing house!”
The two continued to push and assault officers, evening pushing an officer from behind, according to the FBI.
Moss and Behymer were later caught on camera inside the Capitol, and Moss allegedly worked to keep a security door from being able to close by blocking it with a chair.
