Pets of the Week: 4-29-2023

Daffodil, 1 year old and 8 pounds, is the sweetest girl who is always happy to be included. She recently finished raising her kittens, so she is very excited to take time to herself. Daffodil’s favorite thing to do is relax, but she can be tempted to play whenever catnip is offered! She may be OK living with other cats, but Daffodil would prefer to have a home without dogs. She is looking for a home where she can get lots of love and spend plenty of time pampering herself.

Nitro, 6 years old and 10 pounds, is a very cute boy who loves to find the best places to climb and hide. He may take a bit more time than other cats to fully settle in, but treats help Nitro feel more comfortable. He finds comfort in his fellow felines and may appreciate having some cat-friendly cats to go home to. Full disclosure: Nitro and Starby are best friends and are looking for an owner who can promise to keep them together “fur-ever!”

Starby, 8 years old and 9 pounds, is a very handsome boy who is still learning about the world around him. He is very curious about people and is always wanting to be where he can observe them. Starby gets a lot of confidence from other cats around him. He would be a great fit for most laid-back homes where he can have treats and catnip to help him settle in. Full disclosure: Starby and Nitro are best friends and are looking for an owner who can promise to keep them together “fur-ever!”

Milo, 2 years old and 62 pounds, is a sweet and sensitive pup who is looking for a quieter home where he can settle in. Once he is comfortable, Milo is a silly dog who loves to play. He’ll roll around in your lap and make you laugh all day. Milo could pair well with another dog but would require an intro to make sure he’s a good fit.

Kyra, 7 years old and 51 pounds, is a sweet-as-can-be dog who has been in the shelter for too long! She’s currently in a foster home and is doing so well there — Kyra even let her foster mom put her in a panda costume for Halloween! She loves people and will want to be around you when you’re home. When you leave, Kyra will snuggle up on your bed and wait for you to come home. She loves naps, comfy spots and toys. Kyra needs to be a single pet and can be nervous around small children.
