INDIANAPOLIS — It will be partly sunny this afternoon, with a cold wind out of the north-northeast. The wind will gust around 20 mph, with wind chills in the mid-30s.
Afternoon highs will only climb into the low 40s.
Bundle up for the Circle of Lights! It will be partly cloudy, breezy and cold but it will be dry. Temperatures will fall into the mid-30s, with wind chill values in the mid-20s.
Temperatures will eventually fall into the mid-20s by Saturday morning.
It will be unseasonably cold this weekend. Saturday afternoon will be mainly sunny and cold, with afternoon highs in the low 40s.
Clouds will increase Saturday evening, ahead of a trough in the upper levels. This will be the trigger mechanism for winter precipitation on Sunday morning, with temperatures falling into the upper 20s.
A wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow will be possible initially and then will transition over to just snow.
While the ground is still rather warm, light snow accumulation will be possible. The best chance for accumulation will be in northwest central Indiana.
A few scattered snow and rain showers will be around Sunday afternoon and evening, tapping into Lake Michigan moisture.
Afternoon highs on Sunday will only rise into the upper 30s.
Next week will be mainly dry, cold and breezy.
