INDIANAPOLIS — Be prepared for a damp and chilly winter day today. Some parts of Indiana, like the northwest and southwest counties, still have snow on grassy surfaces this morning.
Yesterday, just outside of Bedford in Southern Indiana, around 2 inches of snow fell. We aren't expecting that today but we will see a mix of rain and snow that will stick around into the evening.
The temperatures will make sure that there will be little or no accumulation will happen and speaking of those temperatures, look for highs to be about where they should be or even a little warmer into the new year. For instance, the average high is 37 and today we will top out at 39 degrees.
Be careful this morning driving because an upper level low is sinking across the state and that means we have a mix of rain and snow on tap today. Tomorrow will be a quiet day and Colts tailgaters will deal with possibly, a few flurries and certainly a windy weather pattern Sunday morning.
New Years Eve looks dry with temperatures in the 30s.
