INDIANAPOLIS — A winter storm system is lifting out of the southern plains and tracking toward Indiana. The storm will bring bigger impacts across southern Indiana, south of I-70, Monday afternoon and evening.
Rain is expected to arrive mid-to-late afternoon Monday.
Rain will make a quick switch to snow during the evening, mainly after 8 p.m.
While up to an inch of snow is possible south of I-70, 1" to 2" of snow will be possible across southern Indiana.
Up to four inches will be possible closer to the Ohio River, where winter weather advisories have been issued.
Stay weather aware and up to date with the latest forecast. A slight change in the storm's timing/track will have a big impact on precipitation type and amounts.
