INDIANAPOLIS — Temperatures have returned to more seasonal levels and a warming trend will continue for the next few days.
TODAY'S FORECAST:
- Sunny skies for IU football
- Low 60s at kickoff
- Highs near 70 degrees this afternoon
TONIGHT:
- Sunset tonight will officially be before 7 p.m. at 6:59 p.m.
- Temperatures will be in the 60s for the start of Indy Eleven tonight at Carroll Stadium
- We'll drop into the 50s this evening, so jackets are required!
- Overnight lows will be in the low 40s with a few outlying areas in the upper 30s
SLIGHTLY WARMER FOR SUNDAY:
- Layer up if you're headed downtown for the Colts tailgate, with temperatures starting in the mid 40s
- Temperatures warm into the upper 60s by kickoff at 1 p.m.
- Highs in the low to mid 70s
- Sunny skies all day
ABOVE AVERAGE STRETCH INTO NEXT WEEK:
Above average temperatures look to stick around into next week with highs in the mid 70s through Wednesday.
The next chance we could see some rain around central Indiana will be along a weak boundary on Tuesday night, but only a few stray showers are possible.
It'll also become windy around this front with gusty winds Tuesday evening through Wednesday. Behind this front, temperatures will briefly cool off back into the upper 50s on Thursday. Temperatures will then quickly recover to the mid 60s next Friday and near 70 next weekend.
