When will temperatures warm back up?

Warmer changes are in the forecast starting tomorrow as winds shift back to the southeast. Highs are back in the mid-80s tomorrow and Thursday. We'll still likely see the low 80s Friday ahead of a cold front moving in.

When is the next rain chance?

A spotty storm is possible overnight Thursday into Friday morning, but the better chance of scattered rain and isolated storms will be along a cold front during the day Friday. Rain is set to wrap up by late Friday evening with dry, cooler weather returning for the weekend.

Overall, there isn't a ton of moisture associated with this system, and at most, parts of central Indiana see up to 0.2 inches of rainfall. This is the only rain chance in the extended forecast as well, so we'll likely settle into a drier-than-normal stretch for the first few weeks of September.

A much cooler setup by the weekend

Even with sunny skies, highs will only be in the low 70s Saturday afternoon.

It'll be a chilly start to our Sunday as low temperatures fall into the upper 40s. Jackets might be a good option if you are planning to tailgate for the Colts season opener.

Highs will likely only be in the upper 60s to areas north and near 70 around the metro. Temperatures are trending back warmer into the upper 70s/near 80 degrees by the first part of next week.
