INDIANAPOLIS — There will be a super blue moon in the sky tonight. The moon gets the super from the fact that it will be closer to the earth so it will appear bigger and brighter. The blue comes from the fact it is the second full moon during the month of August. All second full moons in the same calendar month are called blue moons.
Skies will be clear tonight and the moonrise is at 8:32pm. This won't happen again until 2037.
