INDIANAPOLIS — More seasonal temperatures return to start the weekend after a stretch of well-above average days. High pressure will also become our dominant weather feature, keeping the sky clear with lots of sunshine and highs in the low 50s. It'll be a great day for the start of the Chriskindlmarkt in Carmel, open today from noon to 9 p.m.

Our next weather system will start to move in on Monday, increasing clouds during the day and hindering high temperatures to the low 50s. Rain showers begin during the second half of the day, with heavy rain overnight through the first part of the day Tuesday.

Central Indiana will sit in the "warm sector" of this storm system Tuesday afternoon, allowing for temperatures to recover to the mid-50s despite the clouds and rain. This system departs Tuesday evening as a cold front sweeps through.

Temperatures fall behind this front for Wednesday with highs only in the low 40s as sunshine returns. We've got a sunny and seasonal setup for Thanksgiving Day with highs near 50. The forecast is looking good for Downtown Indy Inc.'s Circle of Lights presented by IBEW 481, slated to begin at 6 p.m. Friday. Look for partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 40s Friday afternoon, falling into the upper 30s during the show.
