INDIANAPOLIS — An active weather pattern is setting up for the week ahead. Also, be prepared for the heat and humidity to ramp up.
Late Sunday morning through Monday morning will bring the first round of scattered showers. Periods of heavy rain and few thunderstorms are possible, but severe weather is not expected.
There is a low risk for a few strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening.
More rounds of rain/storms will be possible the rest of the week, with Wednesday being on the drier side.
Supporting thunderstorm activity will be the high humidity, with dew points in the mid-70s.
Expect heat index values to be in the upper 90s, possibly in the 100s starting Tuesday through Thursday.
