For many areas Monday was the seventh straight day of no rain... though isolated heavy rain occurred in much more humid air.
The Muggy Meter remains uncomfortable now for the next 36 hours and keeps lows near 70 overnight. Though there will plenty of dry hours on Tuesday... we'll also be monitoring radar closely with spotty downpours around early and mores numerous storms emerging later in the day with highs in the mid/upper 80s.
Flooding rain, lightning, and localized wind gusts of 50+ mph are main threats in storms along and just ahead of an approaching cold front Tuesday.
This front brings brief relief to the Muggy Meter on Wednesday before another surge of oppressive humidity arrives Thursday... along with a 30% chance of widely scattered rain.
A second front settles southward by Friday afternoon to allow refreshing air to return with dewpoints back in the 50s. This sets the stage for a pleasant finish to Friday afternoon into the weekend. Lows drop into the 50s/lower 60s for a few days and plenty of sun on tap for Saturday/Sunday.
