INDIANAPOLIS — Rain is on the way and it will be heavy at times overnight and early Friday. We are still expecting .50"-1" of rain and we need it. November will end more than 2.5" below average and we are more than 7.5" below average for the year.
The heaviest rain will fall from about 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. Watch for wet roads and maybe a slow morning drive.
The steady rain will give way to scattered showers on Friday afternoon and evening. Forecast highs are near 50 degrees.
Expect a cloudy Saturday with a slight chance of a few showers. Saturday will be the driest day this weekend with highs near 50.
Another round of steady rain arrives on Sunday with highs in the middle 40s.
As we look ahead to next week, we are not seeing any major weather system or any significant cold weather. Forecast highs will be in the middle and upper 40s Monday and Tuesday.
