INDIANAPOLIS — Another round of snow is on the way.
The steadiest snow will fall from about 8 p.m. Thursday through 8 a.m. Friday. We are forecasting 1-3 inches of snow for most of central Indiana through the start of the weekend. Some higher totals are expected north.
The timing is tough because all of that snow will fall just before and during the Friday morning drive. Allow extra travel time and set your alarm clocks a few minutes early. Roads will be snowy and slick and there could be some school delays.
The rest of Friday will be windy and cold with scattered snow showers. Forecast highs are in the teens but wind chills drop below zero later in the day and near -15 degrees early Saturday.
Additional snow showers are possible on Saturday with highs in the teens.
Both Saturday and Sunday mornings will be near zero. It is another weekend to remember to protect your family, home and pets.
Milder air arrives next week. We go above freezing on Monday and into the 40s on Tuesday.
It will be rain - and not snow - on Tuesday and Thursday next week.
