Sunday evening Indiana received some much needed rain, however it also brought severe weather to the state.
Severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings have been issued across the state.
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM watch is issued until 9 p.m.
60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail are expected in the areas.
Hail damage to vehicles is expected with wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
A TORNADO WARNING has been issued for Hendricks County in central Indiana and Northeastern Putnam County in west central Indiana until 5:15 p.m.
At 4:55 p.m. a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 9 miles northeast of Greencastle, or 22 miles southeast of Crawfordsville, moving east at 45 mph.
The National Weather Service warns that flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter.
Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.
Tree damage is likely.
