  • Highs will be 10-15° cooler than yesterday in the low to mid 60s
  • Mostly sunny
  • Light northerly breeze
  • Sunset at 6:50 p.m. and temperatures dropping into the upper 40s by 10 p.m.

Tonight *frost possible*

Clear skies and light winds this evening and overnight will allow temperatures to drop into the "frost zone" in the mid 30s.

Sunday will be another sunny but cool day with highs in the low 60s. Grab your sunglasses and jackets if you're headed downtown to cheer on the Indiana Pacers at their home opener.

Temperatures trend back above average starting Monday

The pattern will shift by Monday as winds become more southerly, pumping in more mild air. High temperatures return to the upper 60s under a mainly sunny sky. Winds continue to pick up for Tuesday and Wednesday with 35-45 mph gusts, which will also push temperatures to near-record highs near 80.

Much-needed rain chances arrive Halloween morning

A cold front arrives on Halloween morning, and rain showers will be likely along this front through Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will be near 70 ahead of the front early in the morning and drop into the upper 50s behind the front Thursday evening for trick-or-treating. The heaviest of the rain will be out of the area by sunset, but a few stray showers could linger Thursday evening.

Friday will be clear but cooler, with highs back in the upper 50s to kickoff Taylor Swift weekend in Indianapolis.
