INDIANAPOLIS — A high pressure system is sliding east today. This will help promote a warming trend, but also make way for our next storm system.
Central Indiana will be dry most of Monday. A few snow showers/wintry mix will be possible during the morning and afternoon across northwest Indiana.
After 7 pm rain, potentially freezing rain, starts to spread across Indiana and becomes widespread by 11 pm.
Freezing rain will switch to rain as ground temperatures warm above freezing Tuesday morning.
Icy roads will be possible Monday night into Tuesday morning, especially if they haven't been treated. The higher amounts of ice are expected across Illinois, however, northwest Indiana could pick up around a tenth of an inch.
