INDIANAPOLIS — Be prepared for a soaking next few days. Two deep areas of low pressure track through the Midwest the next few days, drawing significant moisture up from the Gulf. As a result, we will experience significant rain until Saturday night. Wind will gust, temperatures tomorrow will drop and there will be a lot of puddling and ponding around Indiana the next 48 hours.
Today, highs climb, with a southeast wind, all the way up to 60, but that will actually be in the evening. Current computer guidance shows from 1 to 2 inches of rain over most Hoosier counties through Saturday night.
The IHSAA Boys Regional Basketball tournament continues tomorrow, and if you are traveling around the state, take extra time, and remember, you will be driving through rain on most of your trip.
Sunday marks a chilly departure from our above-average month, but it won't last long. As we move into next week, highs slowly make a return to the 70s.
