INDIANAPOLIS — The sun was fun while it lasted. But clouds have quickly arrived this afternoon right on schedule. They'll initially have more bark than bite, but some sprinkles or light showers remain possible before sunset.
We're still bracketing the hours between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. for the steadier and heavier rain to emerge over central Indiana. Plan on a rather wet Friday morning commute.
Though heavier rain rates subside before midday, clouds and drizzle linger into the afternoon and evening, making for a damp day with temperatures mainly in the 40s.
Clouds hang tough over the weekend with a small chance of some sun peeks late Saturday afternoon, but the bulk of our daylight hours will be mainly cloudy.
Saturday will be the drier of the two days this weekend with another low-pressure system moving in with a decent chance of showers on Sunday. The weather pattern remains active next week with a couple of more disturbances moving across central Indiana between Monday and Wednesday, and with colder air to interact with moisture, there's a possibility of snowflakes at times.
