INDIANAPOLIS — We're certainly not guaranteed to see the Northern Lights Monday night in central Indiana, but there's a chance for some if clouds clear enough and quick enough.
There's currently a large geomagnetic storm in progress and producing Northern Lights in Germany at similar latitudes to Oregon, Kansas, and Virginia in the U.S.
Seeing AURORAS in central Indiana are rare and reserved for larger storms like this with a clear sky.
At this time, Indiana is on the southern edge of forecast visibility. This doesn't guarantee seeing them, but get away from city light pollution and look to the north-northwest later tonight after the clouds clear.
