INDIANAPOLIS — It's cool, but not cold, this morning, so later today we should have, despite increasing cloudiness, no problem reaching 53 degrees. Look for a couple of showers scattered around central Indiana later this afternoon, but many places will remain dry.
Despite the intensifying mid-to-upper-level clouds, we get hit with some radiational cooling, so tonight's low drops all the way down to a brisk 25 degrees. Tomorrow looks to be a great afternoon with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s.
Friday is the day everyone is looking for. An intensifying lower level jet stream is going to bring some moisture our way. We have to be honest here...things may change, but right now we aren't looking for widespread heavy rain, but more locally heavy downpours, especially south of Indianapolis Friday. Severe weather? That's iffy right now, but the timing of a cold front closer to dark will mean heavier rain south of Indy.
Saturday will be windy and cold with 40 mph gusts and falling temperatures.
