INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis had a high temperature of 66 degrees on Tuesday, making it the warmest day so far this year. We're on track to see the upper 60s again today as a warm front lifts through the area.
That front will increase clouds and could bring a stray, late afternoon rain shower.
The unseasonably warm air will come to an end as a cold front arrives tonight. Temperatures will fall into the low 30s overnight.
We'll be much cooler tomorrow as temperatures struggle to recover to the low 40s. A few areas of freezing drizzle can't be ruled out in the afternoon, especially in the northern part of the area.
That cooldown will be short lived, as another warm front arrives Friday afternoon. Temperatures recover to the low 50s to wrap up the workweek.
We'll see a major surge in temperatures again for the weekend with highs pushing the 70-degree mark on Saturday and in the upper 60s Sunday.
We will be dealing with rain and storm chances early Sunday, with a cold front arriving Sunday night.
This takes us back to reality once again, with colder air arriving Monday as a rain/wintry mix will be possible.
More seasonal temperatures set up next week.
