INDIANAPOLIS — The calendar says February but we, again, will be experiencing spring-like temperatures along with winds and storms. Monday will be stormy with several phases of strong to severe weather.

At 2 a.m., storms moved through Indiana with some brief heavy downpours in the Indianapolis metro area. We will experience more of that type of activity until 9 a.m. or so when a line of thunderstorms will move though with heavy downpours of rain and strong, gusty winds.

Look for another round of potentially heavy rain and storms this afternoon as the heavy rain moves ahead of a cold front. Rotating storms and gusts to 50 miles per hour are possible in the warm sector of air just ahead of the front. We will top out at 63 degrees around 1 p.m.
