INDIANAPOLIS — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Monday.
Thunderstorms have been firing up this afternoon. There is plenty of energy in the atmosphere, with high heat and high humidity.
The models are not doing a great job handling the environment, so the Live Doppler 13 team is nowcasting. The models are underdoing the activity.
However, the Fort Wayne area is in an enhanced risk of severe storms and the model at 7 p.m. is forecasting a large storm over Allen county.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has already been put in effect for Boone and Hamilton County.
Stay Weather Aware through the evening, as strong to severe thunderstorms are likely.
