INDIANAPOLIS — High heat, humidity and isolated strong to severe storms will be in play today. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for north central Indiana until 2 p.m.
The risk of severe storms includes large hail and damaging winds. North central Indiana has the best chance of rain, including isolated severe storms.
Storms will be possible from mid-morning through mid-afternoon.
However, most areas in central Indiana will be dry and hot. Afternoon highs will climb into the low to mid-90s with heat indices in the upper 90s to 100 degrees.
A Heat Advisory is in effect for areas along and south of the I-70 corridor.
