Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog: Seasonable Sunday with a taste of fall arriving next week

Temperatures will be back to normal Sunday and Monday but a cold front brings rain and cooler temperatures next week.

INDIANAPOLIS — Clouds have been hanging tough today, but high pressure is moving in and helping clear out the skies. It will be mostly clear overnight, with temperatures falling into the upper 50s.

Sunday will be beautiful for tailgating for the Colts home opener. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s by late morning. Humidity will remain low, with dewpoints in the upper 40s and low 50s.

 Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 70s to near 80°.

Sunday evening will be mostly clear, with temperatures falling back into the upper 50s.

Monday will be another seasonably warm day, with afternoon highs climbing into the low 80s.

A cold front will arrive late Monday into Tuesday. There is a chance of rain early Tuesday morning, with showers and isolated storms likely during the day Tuesday.   It will be much cooler, with highs only climbing into the low 70s. It will be breezy too, with sustained winds from 10 to 15 mph out of the north.

A quiet fall-like pattern moves in for the rest of the week, with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Morning lows will drop into the upper 40s and low 50s.
