INDIANAPOLIS — The weather will create an additional challenge for Monumental Marathon runners on Saturday. Rain and high winds will impact the majority of the morning races.
Races should experience a dry start at 8 a.m. Rain will begin to move into central Indiana between 7 and 9 a.m.
Rain will persist throughout the rest of the morning and into the early afternoon. Thunderstorm activity will be at a minimum, but a few rumbles of thunder are possible.
Rain will begin to clear to the east between 4 and 6 p.m.
A Wind Advisory will go in effect Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and last until 8 p.m.
Wind gusts out of the south will be around 45 mph early in the morning and will stay strong through the late afternoon and early evening. A few gusts could be close to 50 mph.
Sustained wind speeds will be between 15 and 25 mph.
