INDIANAPOLIS — It'll be a slow warming trend during the AES 500 Festival Parade with temperatures warming through the 60s and into the low 70s. Look for the return of sunshine through the afternoon as temperatures rebound into the mid 70s, very seasonal for this time of year. Winds will shift from the northwest to southwest this afternoon but remain light up to 5 mph.
We have a great evening ahead for the Legends Day Concert at TCU Amphitheater featuring Dierks Bentley. The show gets underway at 7 p.m. with temperatures falling from the 70s back into the 60s this evening.
Staying clear and seasonal overnight with lows in the upper 50s. That means a comfy start to race day as gates open at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at 6 a.m.
Temperatures will quickly rise through the 70s during the morning and near 80 as the green flag waves at 12:45 p.m. Winds will increase gusting to 25 mph at times Sunday afternoon, pushing temperatures into the mid 80s.
The warming trend continues for Memorial Day with temperatures topping out in the upper 80s under a mostly sunny sky. Becoming more humid as well.
Look for highs near 90 on Tuesday which will be the hottest day in the extended forecast. Our next weather system brings rain and storms back Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures will still reach the mid 80s ahead of the rain chance and drop back into the upper 70s for highs for the rest of the week.
