INDIANAPOLIS — An area of low pressure is transporting moisture into Indiana from the Gulf of Mexico. More showers and thunderstorms will be around again today.
A severe thunderstorm could be possible this afternoon with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.
The wind will be out of the south from 10 to 15 mph with gusts near 20 to 25 mph. That southerly wind will tap into the moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Today will be cooler than yesterday with highs in the mid 70s.
Showers and storms continue this evening, which will be cooler with temperatures falling into the upper 50s.
An upper low will sit over central Indiana on Friday.
The low pressure will keep areas of drizzle around throughout the day.
A few isolated storms will be possible, too, but no severe weather is expected. Friday will be mostly cloudy and cool, with temperatures only recovering in the upper 60s.
