INDIANAPOLIS — It will be a bitter cold day, thanks to the Arctic air that has arrived. Temperatures will struggle to climb into the upper teens.
Wind chill values will run below zero and into the single digits.
A few flurries will be possible late morning into the afternoon, but the bulk of the winter storm system will stay to our south.
A light dusting of snow is possible from Bedford to Columbus to Greensburg and points south.
Snow will be heavy in central Kentucky, with around 6-8 inches on the ground by early evening. Around an inch or less is possible in southern Indiana.
It will be breezy this evening with gusts around 20 mph. The air temperature will fall to 7 degrees, which will be the coldest morning since Feb. 17, 2021.
Wind chill values will run 5 to 10 degrees below zero.
