INDIANAPOLIS — A deepening area of low pressure will move into the Great Lakes today. Central Indiana is on the warm side of the low pressure, allow temperatures to rise this morning.
A cold front is arriving this morning, with mild southerly winds ahead of the front.
It will be a windy day, as the pressure falls cause the pressure gradient to tighten up. Winds will be out of the southeast from 25 to 35 mph. Gusts will be from 30 to over 50 mph at times today.
A High Wind Warning remains in effect until early evening.
The cold front could trigger a strong storm or two, with damaging winds the main threat.
The main story will be the wind throughout the day today. Trees and power lines could be downed due to the high winds. Temperatures will fall into the low 40s by late afternoon.
