INDIANAPOLIS — It has been an almost early Fall like day in Indiana on this Saturday. From scattered showers to temperatures around 60, this feels like anything but a day on the second week of December.
Look for periods of rain this afternoon with these unseasonably warm temperatures to continue during the day.
Fans at the Butler basketball game at Hinkle Fieldhouse should expect rain and mild weather when they leave after the game with Cal.
The warm , moist air is surging ahead of a cold front to our west. The front is a true cold front and behind it is a chilly air mass. In fact we will go from the 60s today all the way down to the low 30s tonight and the upper 30s tomorrow.
Next week will be quiet and day as high pressure dominates the weather picture with highs mainly in the 40s.
By the way, if you are flying out of Indy to the east coast today, take care to keep an updated forecast on our Live Doppler app as a vigorous storm is cruising up the Atlantic Coast today.
