INDIANAPOLIS — A strong arctic cold front will push in this morning, causing temperatures to crash. Temperatures will drop into the mid-20s this morning and then hold near steady into the afternoon.
It will also be windy, with sustained winds from 20 to 25 mph and gusts over 30 mph.
A Wind Advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. today.
Wind chill values will be in the teens this afternoon.
It will be mostly cloudy and cold this evening. Temperatures will continue to tumble, falling into the mid-teens. Wind chills will run below zero and into the low single digits Thursday morning.
A low pressure system will drift to the south of Indiana on Thursday. Central Indiana will be on the northern side of the system.
A few light snow showers will be possible, mainly south of I-70 and east of I-69.
A dusting of snow will be possible with higher amounts in southern Indiana. It will be a bitter cold day with highs in the upper teens. Wind chill values will make it feel like the single digits.
